Margie Smigel is a fantastic agent. She has an amazingly deep knowledge of all areas of real estate and an optimistic, can-do attitude that makes the impossible possible. She expertly guided us through a homebuying search in a tough market—and was patient, wise, and funny. She was willing to try creative approaches, and in the end, we saw the place we bought three times before realizing it was right. The purchase process had many hurdles, but Margie always gave us perfect advice when it counted. She was always reachable, and every professional she recommended, from the attorney to the inspector, was top-notch. During our search we met two members of her team and both were great, too. If you want to SELL your property, hire Margie! We followed her advice on what finishing touches the property needed before putting on the market, and put total faith in her strategy to get multiple full ask offers within days. Despite the market at the end of this summer not being great, everything played out exactly as Margie said it would, and we sold at more than 10K above ask! Her network, visibility, and attention to detail get RESULTS!

I live out of state, and when my father had to move out of the family home of 65 years, a relative who is a retired real estate agent from Chicago recommended her. I hadn't lived in the Chicago area for decades and didn't know much about the housing market in the area where the house is located, and wanted someone who knew what she was doing. We got the right person. Margie helped us to set a value for the house, sorting through relevant comps far more carefully than the prospective buyers did, dealt with those buyers, and handled all the paperwork efficiently and correctly. A former colleague of my father's wanted to buy the house, and we did eventually sell it to him, but only after far too much haggling. Margie knew where to draw the lines, and how to do it without killing the sale, and everything came out in the end. I've bought and sold a number of houses over the years, and know how important it is to have a good agent. I recommend her hightly.

I met Margie 6 years ago while buying property with a different agent, and decided that I would hire her for any future ventures into the real estate market, and I am glad that I did! Navigating the real estate market can be a daunting experience. Margie's guidance through the selling process helped to relieve some of that stress. She made good suggestions concerning staging which made me comfortable about showing my place to the public. Because she understands the market, she helped me set a price for my property that attracted a buyer. She is professional without being stuffy, yet personal without being intrusive. I found her staff to be equally as knowledgeable and warm. Working with her has been a positive experience. You will find no one better.
