Absolutely horrible and very disappointing. I’ve seen this company advertise estate sales before and have tried to avoid them, since the listed address often just leads back to their storefront rather than a true estate sale. Unfortunately, my family and I attended one this past weekend without realizing they were running it. The staff had a noticeably bad attitude. Pricing was inconsistent and bizarrely high, and it was frustrating that they wouldn’t provide clear individual prices, instead pushing customers to negotiate bundles. There was also no space available to try on clothes. I purchased a cashmere sweater labeled size L—I typically wear a S or M —so I expected it to fit. However, when I got home and tried it on, it was completely shrunken, and it also has a hole in the side, so essentially unwearable. Overall, it felt disorganized, overpriced, and unprofessional, and items were clearly misrepresented. I would not recommend attending their sales and avoid at all costs.

We read about the Water Tower Place showroom/store in the Skyline paper. The store on the 6th floor is huge. We were greeted warmly both ladies were so professional and knew their stock - not only what was on the floor but what was not displayed. We ended up buying a table and 4 chairs. They also assisted in finding us an upholsterer to do the chairs. If you are looking for unusual furniture at very reasonable prices this is your place.

I scheduled a phone consultation for an estate sale and received a confirmation of the date and time. I prepared for the call and waited. And waited. And waited. No call. No email. This is the second company that has either ghosted me after an initial consult or never called in the first place. I smell elitism and classism. An address does not identify the value of the estate.i suspect that Chicago Estate Advisors and similar companies don’t want to invest their time for an estate NOT in Naperville (a massively overrated and insulated suburb, imo),Oakbrook (see my opinion of Naperville), the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, etc. Hidden gems and collectibles are abundant everywhere. Totally unprofessional and a waste of MY and my brother’s time.

After my mother-in-law’s unexpected passing, my husband and I were faced with decisions we were completely unprepared for. Deborah and Orlando at Chicago State Advisors were nothing short of extraordinary. Their compassion, empathy, and steady guidance made an incredibly painful time feel just a little less heavy. They helped us understand every step, set clear expectations, and treated us with genuine care and patience. We will always be grateful for their kindness. If you are going through the loss of a loved one, you will not find a more supportive or trustworthy team. Highly recommend.

“EVERY SINGLE ITEM YOU ARE TRYING TO BUY GETS GOOGLE BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN ASK HOW MUCH IS IT!” The tittle says it all! First and last time I will probably attend a Chicago Advisors Estate Sale. The tip of the iceberg starts by their “Online list” which if you want to be the first 10 people to enter the house you need to purchase a $25 ticket to be in “group A” This is probably one of the only companies that I’ve known in Chicago to do this, I could understand if someone really really wanted to purchase an item but at the same time being money hungry and taking advantage of buyers. -Sorry resellers this is not your type of sale for you-. -I also feel bad for older folks because many got turned away to enter the estate sale because they didn’t know how to scan a QR code and sign up online. When I got there the owner that runs the estate sale mentioned “nothing is priced so make a pile and we will make you a “good deal” on everything you pick up” after the first group went in the next 5 people waited about 1 hr before going next. Making sense much after why the long wait…- oh yeah because they were googleling each and every item… the crazy part is they are not going by sold items but rather price listing which anyone could put an item online that is worth (x) amount and ask for way more. Their staff is place in each floor and you can’t move through out the house without paying at each level of the house (-kinda annoying sorta feels like you are getting babysat-). So many people left their “piles “ because of the high pricing! They truly want to get full retail of items. Which makes me wonder why? One logic explanation is because they do own a store. “They say they want to make sure owners get the most out of their sale” but if people are leaving without selling they probably don’t care if they sell or not because at the end of their service they probably Tell the owners they try their best and probably offer them to buy whatever didn’t sell at a way cheap price so they can sell it at their own store making the client feel like they did them a favor. (Well this is my personal assumption who knows ) Definitely felt like a waste of time digging for items through the house to end up getting quoted a ridiculous amount. They should change their name to “Chicago estate Google advisors”
