New to California and I am really enjoying my stay here in Oakland @ Residences At Lake Merritt. Management is very polite & helpful and the maintenance team is quick with resolving maintenance issues immediately. Keep up the greatness Team Residences. 👏🏾

Cannot say enough good things about Residences at Lake Merritt from the time ive lived here and the real reason this building is such an amazing place to live, comes down to Tina and Mathew. Tina in the office is truly one of a kind. She is warm, professional, responsive, and genuinely cares about the residents. Any time I’ve had a question, concern, or needed help with anything, she’s handled it quickly and with such a positive attitude. She makes you feel seen and valued, not just like another unit number. That kind of service is rare. And Mathew, the building manager, is equally outstanding. He runs this place with pride, attention to detail, and real accountability. You can tell he’s deeply invested in keeping the building clean, safe, and well-maintained—and it shows. The common areas are consistently spotless, maintenance issues are handled efficiently, and the entire property feels well cared for because it is. Together, Tina and Mathew are the reason this building stays in such great shape and feels like a true community instead of just an apartment complex. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication set the standard for what great property management should look like. If you’re considering living at Residences at Lake Merritt, know that you’ll be in excellent hands. This team makes all the difference and they deserve major recognition for the incredible job they do every single day. Highly reccomended, please walk in an ask for either one of them and youll be in great hands.

Best place to live in the area! The management is professional, friendly and responsive - one of the main reasons why we chose to live here! It’s close to lots of restaurants, a great park and walkable to many coffee shops and grocery places. All the residents are really friendly, and I really enjoy the events put on by the building so that we can meet other residents. 10/10 recommend

I toured all four apartment complexes in this area and this one is the least desirable. -They have zero amenities. They are pet friendly yes, but they do not have a pet wash station. They do have a gym but it is outdated and small. No co working lounges. They have a rooftop lounge on the 8th floor that is TINY! -The floor plan that I toured was decent. The bedroom was small. I did like the patio, but I can live without having a patio. The bathroom is a decent size, it isn’t too small but it isn’t big. The bathtub is low and small. The kitchen appliances do not match and they’re cheap compared to others I’ve seen. -The elevator had a musty smell. - I’m not sure if they have fobs but I used a code to enter the apartment, I’m unsure if that was just for vacant units to access the self guided tour but if so, I’d prefer a fob over a code. You have to enter a code in the elevator, gym and 8th floor community room and in my opinion that’s just more germs being spread given you have to touch all the buttons to access and then touch the door. Yuck! -The outside of the building is really nice but the inside is disappointing. If I were you I would look elsewhere.

I honestly love living here. The atmosphere feels so welcoming, and everything about it looks and feels super luxurious from the amenities to even the area it’s in. The staff really make a difference too. They’re knowledgeable, helpful, and you can tell they truly pay attention to the little details. I feel really taken care of here.
