I went to the office today at the 7th floor on 1515 Clay St, Oakland. My purpose was to renew my broker license as a senior citizen over 70 years old. Stephanie Yee was so kind and listening carefully to what I explained of my situation with exemption of the continuing education. She paid undivided attention to my explanation and worked positively to the finish line , that I was able to submit my application. She is an ideal example of what civil servant was supposed to be. I felt so comfortable and rewarding. Regardless of my goal achieved I am just pleased so much because of her professional service and care. She made my day! My deepest thanks to Dept of Real Estate.

First, a big THANK YOU to Gale for kindly guiding me through the testing process. I’m sharing this review in hopes it helps make your test day less stressful and more manageable mentally. 1. Transportation: The testing facility is just two blocks from BART, making it easy to get to and from the site. If you're driving, there are some unrestricted parking spots a few blocks east on MLK, but I still recommend taking BART. It's not as intimidating during the day as you might think. 2. Building Entry: Security is located on the main floor with an x-ray machine and metal detector. Allow a few extra minutes for this process. 3. Restrooms & Water: Use the restroom on the 2nd floor before heading up to the testing area. All water fountains were shut off when I was there. However, there’s a convenience store just behind the front entrance where you can grab water or snacks. 4. Testing Floor: Head to the 7th floor. The testing room is in Suite 703—second door on the right. Staff will be there to assist and guide you through the check-in process. 5. Lockers: Lockers are roughly purse-sized. They felt secure enough for essentials like your phone, wallet, and sunglasses. Still, I’d suggest leaving valuables like your fancy Rolex or anything irreplaceable at home. Its in a private area without random traffic. 6. Check-In: Present your ID and confirmation letter at the front desk. They'll let you know where to sit and what to expect. 7. Restroom Breaks: Restroom breaks are allowed on the same floor. Staff will explain how to take one without disrupting your test. 8. Testing Experience: The computer system was user-friendly and intuitive—no tech issues at all. They provide you with a mouse, calculator, paper or white board. 9. Results: You’ll find out whether you passed as soon as you finish or shortly after. No waiting! 10. Preparation Tips: I put off this test out of fear for a long time. What helped me: Prep Agent for practice exams YouTube videos (very helpful!) ChatGPT for extra clarification And most importantly, I made a deal with myself: if I didn’t pass, I'd retake with more knowledge. No big deal. I passed! 11. Final Advice (24 Hours Before Test): A. Review vocabulary you still don’t know B. Plan your route in advance to avoid stress C. Eliminate distractions—protect your mental space and stay positive D. Have a wholesome breakfast, snack or lunch before arriving. Good luck! You’ve got this.

The staff that works the examination room is hands down the best group of women to work with. I have to say I would rather take my exam (I passed) in the Oakland office then any other office in California! Strictly from my interactions with the team of women that works their. Thank you

amazing investigation from these geniuses. just because the investigators don't have any basic comprehension/literacy doesn't mean there isn't a problem. how the heck do these people who can't even read get hired? i'm guessing pure nepotism. Please see the conversation below. This was the full conversation, then they closed the case, lol DRE: I would like to know if you have a copy of the new contract and the manager’s name or who ever is conducting Property Management in the property you reside. Thank you ME: Hello Mr. Perez, To clarify, we were never presented with a full new lease, however I've attached the optional addendum they sent us. We did not sign it (we are rent controlled). Our apartment complex is now managed by E* Property Management DRE: Good Morning, I have a question who is E* Property Management? ME: They are the property management company which you enquired about DRE: Are they the ones that manage the property you live in. ME: Yes, they are. ...and that was literally it and then they closed the case.

The Staff is the Best! They are polite, helpful, friendly, and simply a joy to be around. I could hang out with them all day... If you are rude or not following instructions, they will put you in your place, so be polite and respectful and you will have a great experience.
