He took the time to understand my needs, showed me suitable options, and guided me through the application and buying process with clear communication and attention to detail. Everything was handled efficiently and smoothly. I truly appreciated his professionalism and would highly recommend Juan Almeida to anyone looking to buy a home.

Do NOT waste your time with Juan Almeida. Whatever your expectations are of a real estate agent whether a renter / buyer or landlord / seller he can’t seem to do the bare minimum. He is unresponsive for days to weeks on the platforms he posts to, unavailable to show the property, unwilling to share his phone number, and will keep moving showing days he suggests back a few days at a time while he fishes for other applicants, then rent to those applicants instead. Then, when you dare express disappointment or suggest he’s acted unprofessionally doubles down on the same and instead of apologizing or communicating simply goes back to not answering and BLOCKS you. Well I’m glad that this review will not be blocked. He’s done a disservice not only to me (now have days to find an alternative before homeless) but to his landlord as well. We could have had this rented weeks ago. That’s money out of the landlord’s pocket. And now we will have to spend hundreds more a month pressed for last minute alternatives. I suspect he discriminated based on my simply asking if the owner would be open to a shorter term lease. I’ve bought and rented for 30 years and this is the first time I’ve had to leave a review to warn others. Unprofessional and unreliable. Avoid.

I'd been a tenant of George Izquierdo's (President of Las Casas Realty long ago) for about 15 years. Over the years of my tenancy, George had mentioned several times that one of the missions of Las Casas is to help people get out of being just tenants, and into homeownership. I always felt that homeownership was unattainable for me. George kept letting me know it was not. He would tell me stories about how he started with his first home, and it was truly inspiring. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and interest rates tanked, George gave me a call to let me know that it was a perfect time to buy. I faltered for a bit, being nervous (and frankly, scared) of taking on the responsibility that owning your own house entails. That said, George had on many times helped me out in many ways to help me save money for a down payment. I still faltered, but eventually took him up on his offer to help by getting me started with an agent. On the Yelp page, it says that George is “an artisan of a different kind… He sees a prospective buyer and sculpts until he creates a homeowner.” I couldn’t agree more with that statement. When the time came, George set me up with Andrew Izquierdo at Las Casas, and we started working together on finding a house for my fiancée and me. Always upbeat, eager, and positive, Andrew helped us navigate the process from start to finish. We first met with Jeremy Maresca, who works with Las Casas and was helping me out with the loan process. I was prequalified and then preapproved quickly, and was kept very well informed throughout the process. Jeremy, Andrew, and George were always available to talk and answer questions, no matter the time. My fiancée and I went to look at a variety of homes with Andrew. He never had an issue driving out far to meet us, during the week or on the weekend, and working with the sellers' agents to make the process go smoothly. He was also there to help ease my concerns and worries, and keep us sane throughout the process. Eventually my offer was accepted on a house, and then we closed escrow. That was an amazing thing to see, and it couldn’t have happened without Las Casas Realty. Andrew and George helped me with finding local handyman and painter resources in our new area to start making the house our own. All in all, I have nothing but good things to say about Las Casas Realty, George, Andrew, and Jeremy. I was impressed and humbled by the generosity, helpfulness, and tenacity of these fine people and their company. If you are looking to buy or sell, please do contact Las Casas Realty first. They've been helping people for decades (since 1978 if I’m not mistaken). They helped me buy my first home, and they can help you too.
