As a first time homebuyer with zero experience, Jennifer was amazing to work with! She answered every question I had and guided us through the whole process, even when we were overwhelmed with information. She was very quick to respond to my nearly daily text messages, and would hop on calls with us even until the late evening. After searching throughout multiple cities and putting in a few offers on homes, we eventually got our offer accepted! Torey Carrick and the whole team at Anderson were spectacular in every step of my home purchase. I have always hated the process of buying and selling houses even though it’s been part and parcel of all my moves. I was not looking forward to embarking on this in the current economic reality of Southern California. Therefore, it makes it even more remarkable to me that Torey was able to facilitate an incredibly smooth experience both in shopping for and negotiating on my house. I had a lot of ideas about what I wanted from a place and a rather limited budget with which to approach it, and he was thoughtful and responsive as we engaged the entire process. When my first offer and negotiation looked like it was going be a success he made certain that I checked into the details of the historic district and city planning such that I wouldn’t be surprised by anything. My conversations with the city of Long Beach led to me backing out of that house. All kinds of permits and work were pending that needed to be taken care of and posed a potential minefield for me. I wouldn’t have even thought about it without his help. The second offer that we made involved a complex and rather obnoxious sequence of negotiations, and he both handled them with aplomb but he also kept me from the extreme aggravation I had encountered in previous attempts at home buying. All of this to say Torey took a process that is complex and emotional, and made it one where I could focus on finding the best space for my child and I to settle down here in Southern California. He is thoughtful and kind and patient in a remarkable way. And stunningly he has a steel core under all of this that works to find what’s best for the families involved. I am exceedingly grateful and I cannot recommend Torey highly enough.
