Juanalicia Hummings Duran 9 months agoI had many of the same issues with this company. First I put a deposit on a house and was told that they were having a issue getting the paperwork for the house, all the while they had sold the home. The house I ended up buying had electric issues, plumbing, and foundation issues. So if you're interested in buying from them hire your own inspector before you close on the house, cause after the closing it's to late!!!!
Eve a year agoDON’T DO IT! I would not recommend at all, you would think professional property flippers would know a good flip or not, they purchased my home for 40 thousand dollars and sold it to me for almost 100 thousand dollars more knowing that the foundation on the home was terrible. I had professionals come and inspect and they said that the home has been sinking into the soil for so long that it will cost almost 70 thousand dollars to repair. Grovewood knew this when they sold me the home. The lender they got me approved through ough sold my mortgage to another lender a month after I purchased the home and the home owners insurance company they referred me to also suspended my policy a month after I purchased the home, clearly because they all knew the condition of the home. They are taking advantage of people who lack the knowledge. Any business that will sell any product knowing it will do more harm then good is a terrible business and don’t deserve business from anyone. There is so much more I can say. But Grovewood you got a dummy I guess. Y’all could have at least told me, and gave me the option to decide if it was worth it. And y’all knew don’t lie and say you didn’t. The house is beautiful on the inside, but the doctor won’t cover a broken leg with a band aid.
Tay a year agoI bought my home about 5 yrs ago and thru out the time of my initial move in until now there have been some type of moderate to major repairs needed. The home was done on the inside very well but the EXACT thing I said I needed to be secured and solid was the foundation, electrical ECT... When I had my first initial issues while my home was under the one year Warranty I had to call the electrician and HVAC guys. The electrician was EXTREMELY hard to get a hold of, my inspector found a safety hazard of the outlet for the wash n dryer too close to the washer and needed moved- this took almost a 2-3 months to get fixed because I couldn't get in touch with him. Then another subcontractor for the HVAC was EXTREMELY rude when asked to come out and check/fix why the NEW air condition unit wasn't working. NOW CURRENTLY, I am dealing with a poor foundation issue where I had to pull the carpet and take down the wall coming down to the basement. You can tell they did NOT water proof this area like the other half of the basement, and they used a cheap water proof wall material to just simply cover it up. So if I did not feel the water coming thru my carpet and track it back to the wall I would have never thought to take the wall down bc it was a thick plastic type wall nailed into the stone. Once taken down, behind it was A TON of moisture and mildew was getting ready to form. This you can CLEARLY see they just covered up the issue the KNEW was there. So now i am looking at a major bill for something that could have probably easily been fixed or at least negotiated. VERY POORLY DONE! There have been other minor things that have come up that are more time.consuming and can be done by me but it's the fact those small things show the work being a rushed job and/or done cheaply. I understand my home is a flip but there are somethings that you CANNOT cut corners on with a home especially when it is mentioned and requested!!!!! Dennis the lead contractor was great! When I had an issue he got back to me when he could or made sure to get me in contact with the other service providers he used. I hope he and/or grovewood found some new subcontractors
La'Tasha Thompson 6 months agoThe experience with this company put such a bad taste in my mouth. It took months after we moved in.. plus the basement flooded and they never told us..
Brittani Wilkins 3 years agoMark was helpful throughout the entire process. Unfortunately due to an unexpected issue with my ex-spouse car payment, my credit significantly dropped and I wasn’t able to complete the process. But I did receive my deposit back and I would recommend to family/friends!!!
