We had a very disappointing experience with Christian Shane of Christian Shane Properties. We Can definitely understand why he only has a 2.8 Google rating! He was not upfront about critical details — most notably, he lied about the tenant's lease renewal status, which caused serious issues after the transaction. He also failed to provide mailbox keys, despite multiple requests, leaving us to sort out the problem. Most concerning of all, he repeatedly went back on his word and did not follow through on commitments. Integrity and transparency are essential in real estate, and unfortunately, we found both lacking here. We would NOT recommend working with him.

One star because unable to leave 0 stars. Bought a house in Lakeview in July of 2021. Our project manager, at the time of first purchasing our property, was working for himself. We liked him very much and referred him to other people who we knew who also used him and liked him. I’m purposely not using his name. Our project manager decided to go to work for Christian Shane. This is how we became involved with Christian Shane Development. Christian Shane got involved with our project in March of 2022. This is also about the time Christian Shane was pushing to get the property in Bay St. Lewis, Farragut Lofts - condos, completed. A property which Christian Shane owns. Which by the way, were supposed to be completed in Spring/Summer of 2022.🤣. They still are not as of last month when we drove to BSL to see the progress. Christian Shane was also spending a lot of time trying to get his St. Charles offices completed. This property is now for sale - 2125 St. Charles Ave in New Orleans. Hmmmmm is he a sinking ship? Needless to say our job was put on the back burner with our project manager being told he had to follow instructions from Melissa, Christian Shane’s director of projects manager @ the time. Both Melissa and our initial project manager are no longer with Christian Shane Development. I wonder why…….not really. We were very fortunate to get out of our contract with Christian Shane Development. We lost some money because a few projects that Christian Shane Development tackled and executed poorly had to be redone. The laundry room for example was a mess. A nightmare for sure for me. Ugly! Photos posted of the job that was done by Christian Shane Development. Does this look like a professional job to any of you? Laundry room has since been redone by the contractor that was hired after the debacle with Christian Shane. We also had lawyer’s fees which we happily paid knowing we didn’t have any more money invested with/or anything else to do with Christian Shane Development. On our first meeting with Christian Shane he had all these “big ideas”. Melissa had to reel him in several times reminding him we had no interest in the ideas he had. Christian Shane is a very arrogant and snobbish individual. Side note, a friend also started using Christian Shane for repairs on her mom’s property after Hurricane Ida. She too used the same initial project manager. After he left Christian Shane, her project was never completed and Christian Shane kept $10,000.00 dollars for work he did not do or hasn’t completed. She has since filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau’s office. If are are thinking of using this Christening Shane for anything, RUN. He does not have your best interest at heart. It’s all about him and how he is going to make a lot of money off or from you. Also decided to review since our home is finally completed and just thankful we did not complete our home with Christian Shane.

My experience at 1700 Jackson Ave was deeply disappointing, marked by issues that undermined our 70th birthday celebration. From an unauthorized check-in fee and poor communication to unsanitary conditions, pest infestations, a rat poison device in my bedroom, misrepresented amenities, and an unannounced guest, the stay fell far short of expectations. The host’s dismissive and unresponsive attitude compounded the problems, leaving me to resolve issues independently or seek external recourse. The discovery of a rat poison device was particularly alarming, signaling an undisclosed rodent issue that posed health risks. The unannounced repairman’s entry at 10 p.m. was a serious safety breach, eroding our trust and comfort. These issues turned a planned joyous reunion into a stressful ordeal, highlighting the importance of transparency, communication, and safety in vacation rentals. Future renters should exercise caution, ensuring clear host communication and verified property conditions to avoid similar experiences.

1700 Jackson was the perfect location for us to stay on our wedding weekend. We were able to fit our entire party into the house comfortably, there are restaurants and shops within walking distance, and it looks beautiful in photos. We used the house as our getting ready location and also as a photo location, and it was perfect for both. Everybody enjoyed their stay and commented on how nice the accommodations were. Even with 16 people there, it was quiet and everyone was able to have their own space. Book on their website directly for a better deal.

Hilariously incompetent agents. Every interaction with an agent from this brokerage has been condescending from start to finish, likely in an attempt to hide their complete and utter incompetence.
