We cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Lex Ferguson and his Life on Oahu team. In 30+ years of real estate transactions, I can honestly say I don’t believe I’ve ever had a real estate agent where I felt like he/she earned every penny of their commission—UNTIL NOW!! Lex went above and beyond every single day helping our family find a perfect home for our needs. His knowledge of Oahu and all of the neighborhoods around Honolulu is second to none! If you haven’t seen his vlogs on YouTube, you need to check them out to get a little taste of his personality. He’s professional, kind, intelligent, very funny, and super knowledgeable. He has connections with any contractor you may ever need, but he’s also tied in with the best restaurants/bars,/coffee shops, etc. And more importantly, my family feels like we have a good friend in the neighborhood now. His home sale with us is finished, but he continues to work with us to facilitate things we need to make our home the best for our needs. Lex— Thank you for being the very best! We moved to Oahu a little over two years ago and recently purchased our home with the help of Lex Ferguson. From start to finish, Lex was professional, trustworthy, and one of the hardest-working people we’ve ever met. He had endless energy, was always available to answer questions, and truly went above and beyond to guide us through the process. Lex is extremely knowledgeable about the market and always up to date on new homes as they come available. His dedication and work ethic made what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and exciting one. My experience with Lex was, extraordinary and excellent. I met Lex , I told him , I had not had any luck finding a place with any of the prior realtors I had engaged with over 7 years. I told him I wanted to find a surf shack on the ocean with reef protection, and hopefully good surf out front . One of the first things he told me was , “we will find you a house”, and he said it with 100 percent conviction. In my head , I was “well I doubt it but let’s see”. We worked together for many months. Every single day , of every single week, of every single month, Lex was on it . Quickly , my confidence grew. I quickly believed , if there was to be a house , Lex indeed , was the guy who would find it. He did not sit around waiting for listings, he did mailings, and knocked on doors , and used other creative methods in pursuit , not just for some commission, but in an all out effort to get the perfect property for me. Well, today, we closed on the house he found. Was it on the 4-10k square ft lot I expected ? No, it was on almost 3/4 of an acre. Was it a surf shack? Yes, but surf shacks, prural. Two epic small homes sitting on a private , beautifully landscaped, ocean from spot. Additionally , it faces multiple world class surf breaks right out in front of the property. Finding the property was a good portion of the battle, but then he had to contend with a crazy, delicate, situation. The seller and his family were great people and also , for good reason, in many ways did not want to let go of the property. They owned it for 25 years , and it was and is a rare gem. The escrow was ultimately agreed to be 100 days . And it closed a bit ahead of schedule . However , the 21/2 months or so , it did persist , were complex ,with lots of emotions , family office involvement, grown kids , and on and on. Multiple parties with lots of needs and desires , often conflicting needs and desires , which required a high level of skill to navigate .Without Lex, this never would have happened . He handled all parties exquisitely, and any time I thought I knew better, he was correct . Additionally, he never once encouraged me to consider houses that would not suit me. He also, never suggested , I over offer on a place , simply to make a sale. He is on top of his game from a-z, he was engaged and looking from start to finish. He never bs’d me . He is a straight shooter , a young father and a family man, a man of his word, and never he lost confidence and worked tirelessly to deliver. And he substantially over delivered, by a long shot . Forever greatful to Lex for his hard work and always a professional. And as if all that was not enough, he is just a great guy.
