I just closed on the purchase of my first home where Mike represented me. As a local mortgage advisor, I’ve known Mike for years and observed how he works with clients; I’ve also observed how countless other agents in the Bay Area work. Knowing that he would go the extra mile and overlook no detail made my decision to hire him easy. My purchase was a bit outside the norm in that it was a private sale and the seller had no agent. This meant Mike got to not only play the role of being my fiduciary but also dealing with the seller through paperwork and escrow. The process was seamless. My initial conversations with the seller about price were informed by an analysis of comparable sales that Mike prepared for me. The seller wanted a higher price, as most sellers do. So, my official offer was made at the top of my budget and knowing that it included contingencies to allow for negotiation when the bank appraisal would come in low (as it did). After going back and forth with the seller, the actual purchase price we settled on was exactly where Mike had valued the house in the beginning. Spot on! Before all my offer contingencies were removed, Mike took me out to see other homes for sale in the area. That solidified my decision to move forward with this one, and also showed me that he genuinely cares that I have all the insight necessary to do so with confidence. Up until that point, the home I had offered on was the only home I visited. If you want an agent who will ‘tell it like it is,’ who is unpretentious and gives you the tools to make your own educated decision, then Mike is your guy. Trust me, he is the agent you want.

I received three strong offers on my investment property within three days on market, and sold it for more than any comparable property in the past 12 months... that's hard to beat! I had contacted Mike about listing the place several months ago, during the holidays. Following Mike's advice, we used the slow season to get the place vacant and complete some renovations to make it market-ready in the new year. Mike walked me through budget-friendly, high-impact upgrades (even put all the products in an Amazon wish list for me) that would make my property shine relative to any others that may appear - and it proved to be very worthwhile. The entire process was flawless... the open houses, the paperwork, escrow, making buyers compete and bring me the highest price. Everything. My expectations were exceeded time and time again, and in no small part because of Mike's honesty and straightforwardness, strategic thinking, foresight and professionalism.

A couple months of searching and a handful of offers later, we bought our house just a couple blocks from Ocean Beach. From the beginning, Mike told us that when the right house presented itself, we would know what we had to do to win a bidding war… and so it happened! When the moment was right for us, it worked to our advantage that Mike had a relationship with the listing agent, and that his know-how of navigating a highly competitive market helped us create an offer that was appealing to the seller despite us getting a loan when so many other buyers are offering all cash. As first-time buyers, Mike took the time to explain the process to us and to connect us with a lender who also scores high points for communication. All things considered, it was an easy transaction and we’ve been enjoying living in our house and making improvements for about two years. Whenever we’ve asked for a recommendation, Mike has met us with the resources. A++ service. Keep up the great work!

Mike helped me and my husband purchase our loft in SoMa in 2016, and then a piece of land in Guerneville in 2021 to someday build upon. In both cases, Mike made the task of buying real estate super easy, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was buttoned up for us. The land in Guerneville, for example, had a relatively new propane tank on it belonging to the neighbor — it needed to be removed so as to not create an easement and problems for us in the future; We would not have known about the consequences and insisted the tank be removed before closing escrow if it wasn’t for Mike’s expertise and guidance in crafting our offer. Did I mention that in these two super hot markets Mike got us our places for at or below asking price? Good work!
