Have been so happy with the use of Redfin to find our forever dream home. We worked With Stephanie Thompson, who was great in helping to navigate us through the process of buying a home. As first time home-buyers in the US, she and the whole redfin team made the process to buy a home super easy and transparent. Highly recommend Stephanie and the Redfin team to buy a home!

Realtor abandoned my contract with a new build in Arizona 2 weeks prior to closing citing that he had to leave the country for holiday vacation. He also illegally involved himself with my loan, causing massive delays, and stressful situations. Unfortunately I am left abandoned in hotels with no permanent living situation left to seek legal counsel and will be filing a lawsuit for damages.

Redfin does advertise the listings of the homes I've been hired to sell from the MLS however they do not advertise me as the resource for buyers to speak with. I've met with the homeowner, been hired due to my knowledge of the area and have walked the home being informed of any and all changes directly from the owner. Redfin will advertise to whoever "pays" to have their name on the home I've been hired to sell which doesn't help the buyer because they work with an agent that has never met the owner, does not know the home and the changes and it is only a way for Redfin to increase their income by not offering clients more value. They called me the other day and pitched me on the fact that if I come to work for them, then they agree to be honest and include my name on my listings. Bad company overall... as an agent, they are hard to communicate with on homes they are selling, their agents all do a 'single job' so it's confusing when doing a showing or negotiating an offer with them, and they never allow you to work with the listing agent that actually knows the home and owner so as a buyer, you get stuck with someone that was paid $30 per door they open that can rarely answer your questions about the home because they live on the other side of the valley. Can't wait for this 'discount service w/ even further discounted customer service' fails and we don't need to deal with their incompetence.

Redfin real estate was very poor in handling my real estate transaction. Tom Barry a real estate agent with Redfin was the buyers agent. The transaction to close was delayed by two weeks, which cost me $1500. The problem with this company is all three entities of this transaction is owned by Redfin. Title First was the escrow title company and Bay Equity was the lender in this transaction. When all three companies in a transaction control everything that is not in the best interest of the consumer or in this case, I as the seller of my home. Title First escrow company overcharge me both in the payoff of the mortgage and the HOA fee amount. I received a refund from the mortgage company, but have not received the overpayment by First Title to the HOA. Redfin as a company has refused to refunded or help in recovering the overpayment. I highly recommend never using this company or any of their subsidiaries very unprofessional service.

If you want to work with agents that have 0 clue how real estate works, then you'll be happy. Redfin was our sellers agent, and saying they were terrible would be an understatement. They took forever to respond, were in breach of contract multiple times i.e. pushing our final walk through until the night before closing and finally their clients did not disclose scorpion infestations and structural damage and attempted to hide such damage. So if you're trying to be shady and sell your house these are the folks for you.
