Adore Homes is the company you can trust to build your ADU. If you ever think about building an ADU in your property, Adore Homes is the right choice. They offer one stop shop service and you do not need to worry about getting the city permit or anything else you need to get your ADU project done. They assign a dedicated project manager who will be working with you closely with the contractor and complete your project step by step following the instructions from the city inspector. Kevin is the project manager who took care of our project and he is very knowledgeable and professional. Ken and Tom are also the ones who have been there to make sure that everything is working properly. We just had our ADU project done and we are satisfied with the work that Adore Homes has done for us. Thank you, Adore Homes!

We got the final sign off on our ADU and I can honestly say that we were very satisfied and happy with Adore homes. The ADU turned out beautifully and the whole process was very low stress for us. The biggest reason was our Project Manager, Anh, who coordinated everything with the general contractor, the utility companies, and city permits to make sure everything flowed smoothly and was on schedule. She also helped with landscaping recommendations and we love the way it turned out. Ashley assisted Anh and was very helpful in keeping us updated every week and following up with utility companies. I highly recommend Adore homes if you are looking to add an ADU and don't want to take on the hassle and headache of doing everything your own. We did look at other companies and Adore was the best for pricing and flexibility of house size and options.

I started a project with Adore homes in late dec 2024 because we had an empty plot of land next to our house which was perfect for a sizable ADU. I had heard of them through the San Jose official websites and on the Adu partners list. My goal was to find a project management company that would (since I have a full time job): - work on getting all the legal work - file and chase all the needed permits - deal with contractors - find the right vendors - coordinate the entire end-to-end build to turn-key worthy - include building the foundation and its cost in the project’s fixed fee price (most adu companies do not do this !!!) Adore Homes met all my requirements, and we spent 1-2 weeks discussing the Contract upfront with one of their cofounders (Tom Ginsberg). He was very patient and open to negotiating terms to satisfy our fears and concerns, and the pricing was very transparent (fixed fee, gave us pricing for add-ons/upgrades). The easy upfront billing part is the cost of the foundation plus the building itself and upgrades within the house. But if you’re budgeting, keep in mind that permit/city fees and extra exterior work aside from the foundation and front/backdoor steps are extra. And these costs can be a lot, and quite unpredictable. This isn’t Adore’s fault, I think it’s mainly the city and public works which don’t tell you these costs upfront and only design/give you and estimate after your whole build is done. pricing has changed due to the world events too, so make sure your budget has plenty of buffer room (eg. PG&E upgrades are very expensive, new fencing and extra outdoor work were priced very fairly by Adore. And the quality is good too) Anyways, the project took a total of 1.5 years for a 900 sqft adu to be fully built (including exterior etc). Keep in mind, 50-60% of the slowness is due to paper work and waiting for city or public works approvals. Adore does not have much control over these, but once those came through they were very quick to schedule the build and get their contractors working. As the customer, it helps to keep tab on things and check with Adore’re PM if you have any items you want looked at or have concerns. Also make your payments on time moves things along. Anh Nyugen was ours and she is amazing to work with! She delivered on every ask and followed up on each question/concern we had. I’m very happy with how the project ran even though it did take longer than expected (I blame the city & PG&E for this though). Overall I’m glad I took the leap and did this project with Adore Homes. Would definitely do it again.

We had a very good experience working with Adore Homes and would give them a five-star rating. The main reason we chose them was their strong selection of ADU floor plans. They offered a range of layouts and helped us identify one that fit our lot particularly well, allowing the ADU to be placed in a location that made the most sense for our property. Throughout the project they also provided good access to their project management team. While a few project managers rotated during the build, Kevin in particular was very responsive and helpful whenever questions came up. Adore Homes also coordinated closely with the actual ADU manufacturer and construction team, helping manage communication and keeping the project moving forward. The construction itself was completed by their subcontractor team, and the overall quality of the work was solid. We appreciated the company’s accessibility, their willingness to address questions, and the fact that they saw the project through to completion successfully.

I worked with Tom and Adore Homes to design and spec out an ADU for our home. The project was very challenging with space issues and other constraints. Tom and his team were extremely helpful – they were knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. Their creativity and flexibility to include our unique concerns made for a great experience and workable design. We had been looking at ADU options for 3 years, with many different companies, I would highly recommend Adore Homes to anyone considering an ADU. A visit to their show room in Campbell is very impressive and informative. Bill R
